Christina Meierotto, MA, tLMHC

Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of Iowa, as well as an Advanced Studies Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa. Christina began working in the mental health field as a Vocational Counselor in 2014, became a Professional School Counselor in 2017, and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC) in 2025.

 

Christina provides virtual therapy services for individuals age 13 and up. Christina’s expertise is supporting teens and adults working to improve their emotional and relational well-being, and problem-solving concerns with academic or career development. Christina is knowledgeable in working with a wide variety of diagnoses and issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, parenting, LGBTQ+ identities, and adjustment-related challenges.

Christina believes that the most important part of counseling is creating a strong relationship with each client through empathy and collaboration. It is her goal to create an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and deeply understood. She uses a variety of treatment approaches in order to best meet the needs of the individuals in her care, with an emphasis in cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and existential techniques.   

 

Christina began as an intern at RISE in January 2025 and as a therapist in September 2025.
