Emma received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, with an anticipated graduation in 2025. She is working toward becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and is completing her internship with RISE at Midland Community School District.
In her role at Midland, Emma assists RISE’s school-based therapists with counseling services for Preschool through 12th grade students. She works collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to support behavioral needs, emotional growth, and overall well-being.
Emma’s main areas of focus include working with children and adolescents ages 3-18 who are experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and attachment concerns, oppositional and defiant behaviors, and challenges with hyperactivity and inattention. She incorporates developmentally appropriate approaches to meet clients where they are and is passionate about supporting young people in building coping skills, resilience, and emotional well-being.
Emma began as an intern at RISE in February 2025.
