Emma earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa in May 2023, followed by her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in December 2025. She is a temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Iowa (tLMHC) as of November 2025. Emma gained extensive experience during her internship at RISE, where she worked with preschool through 12th-grade students in a school-based setting, supporting a wide variety of mental and behavioral health concerns.

Emma provides office-based services in the Monticello office, as well as virtual sessions. Her primary areas of focus include working with children and adolescents ages 3–18 who are experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and attachment concerns, oppositional or defiant behaviors, hyperactivity and inattention, and disordered eating. ​​Emma utilizes a variety of developmentally appropriate approaches, including cognitive-based strategies, play-based techniques, and behavioral interventions to meet clients where they are. She is passionate about supporting behavioral needs, emotional growth, and overall well-being.
Emma’s approach to counseling is warm, supportive, and person-centered. She strives to create a safe and encouraging environment where young people feel genuinely understood. Emma believes in meeting each child or adolescent exactly where they are, focusing on their strengths, and helping them develop healthy coping skills as they grow. She is genuine and patient, always aiming to make a child’s day a little better while helping them build confidence and resilience.

Emma began as an intern at RISE in February 2025 and as a therapist in December 2025.
