Susie Schaul, MSW, LISW

Susie received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Mount Mercy College and her Master of Arts in Social Work from St. Ambrose University. With more than 25 years of experience in the field of social work, Susie has worked with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of complex needs. Her background includes case management in a variety of settings, including the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS), Medicaid Case Management, Guardianship Case Management, and as a Care Coordinator with Child Health Specialty Clinics. 

Susie provides office-based services in our Manchester office as well as virtual counseling sessions. Susie  primarily works with teens 13+ and adults. She works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. In addition to traditional talk therapy, Susie is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that can help reduce the emotional distress associated with traumatic memories, anxiety, grief, and other difficult life experiences. She is also trained in Level 1 Brainspotting, allowing her to tailor treatment using a variety of evidence-based approaches that best support each client’s unique healing journey.
